Invitation

The workshop is organized by Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRIM), Italy and Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), Korea as a satellite meeting at the ICAP conference.
The meeting aims to gather some of the most eminent researchers in optical clocks, and to discuss the scientific challenges in this field. It is organized with session focused on some of the most relevant hot topics in the field of optical clock metrology. Among these are optical frequency combs, blackbody shift, theoretical aspects, new physics with optical clock, and link technology. The workshop will consist of a series of invited talks and poster presentations.

As the national metrology institute (NMI) of Korea founded in 1975, KRISS has developed measurement standards technologies that serve as the source of every scientific technology and industrial activity, and provided the technology services at home and abroad.

Transportation
From Inchon International Airport

Daejeon is located about 250 kilometers southeast of Incheon International Airport (ICN).
Transportation to and from Daejeon is available by airport limousine. Airport limousines leave every 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the time of day.

The procedure below outlines the arrival process at Incheon International Airport.

Airport Bus Limousine Stop

Information on the bus limousine to Daejeon is available at the transportation counter (near exits 2, 4, 9, and 13).
Bus tickets can also be purchased at these counters. Please note that the bus limousine stop for Daejeon is located in 9D, which is in front of the passenger terminal building.

Airport Limousine Timetable

Below is the timetable for limousine services between Incheon International Airport and Daejeon. It takes about three hours to go from the airport to Daejeon.

Where to get off in Daejeon for KRISS

When you arrive In Daejeon (that is, after you pass through the expressway tollgate), get off at the stop in front of the old Lotte Daedeok Hotel (at present this is part of Mokwon University).
The following diagram provides information about where to get off the bus as well as the location of KRISS.

KRISS is located within walking distance of the Daedeok Convention Center. From the Hotel bus stop, it is 10-15 minutes on foot.

From Venue to Seoul (COEX)

For your convenience, we offer you a shuttle bus service to Seoul (COEX) after the workshop on Saturday (23 July). The bus will leave in front of the building where the workshop was held after the Technical Tour, the last schedule.
